Well for once I actually managed to get some stuff done on the YJ this past weekend. - I finally got the windshield that I bought from Les last year on my Jeep. It cost me $230 for a new piece of glass in it but it's worth it. The original windshield frame was rusted pretty bad The new windshield needed some rust removal & painting before installation.
Now to get new wipers and new Torx screws. I had to drill out four of the Torx screws
- I finally got the hardtop off and the soft top on. Boy it was some nice to drive about with the windshield down and the top completely off ;D
- During the last trail run I got mud in the passenger side seatbelt mechanism. The driver's side one has never worked well so I torn both of them open and was able to clean & repair them. I even got the passenger side broken seatbelt buckle replaced.
- The floor of the jeep was covered in dry mud (again from the last trail run) so I vacuumed it clean.
Next on my Jeep's "bucket list" is to change the diff fluids, replace a front axle seal, replace the oil & filter and some final bodywork. Maybe a motor vehicle inspection too, it ran out at the end of last month ;D Oh, and while in my garage I tripped over two skidplates for the Liberty and Crusher Corners for the YJ. Maybe next weekend
