Ok I am going to buy tires within 2 weeks (already called some places) ... need more places to call to get best deal (got bonus I and WANT tires!)
I've tried: Dealership Les Vitres de la Penisule (waiting for call back) CTR (will call again monday - they dont seem to be open today) Pneus du boulevard (cheapest so far)
Can tire doesnt have anything!! ffs ... you are CAN TIRE!! ... guess thats why we call them crappy tire.
Tire going with: 245/75R16 All Terrain. Brand is unknown for now (probably BFGoodRich since they are so common and I haven't got quotes for Mickey Thompson or Procomp)
So who else can I call?
and where can I get some Black or silver steel Rims for them?

Have you put the question to the LOST or KJ forums Johnny? 245's should fit easily under your Libby without fenderwell triming but the PCM may need to be changed for the new tire size.
Take your time shopping around, you'll kick yourself if you find a better dealer later. I'm still shopping for mine, likely I'll get the same size as you.
Does BOCAR in Caraquet still give us a discount Paul? The last tires I bought for my Libby were the stock 235's and set me back $600.

therse a section on the lost forums for tires and what kind of lift and if any rubbing ... the 245/75/ wont cause rubbing with a 2 inch lift. Yea the computer will need a change (boulivard tire said dealership has to do it - shouldnt cost more than 25 - he said they did it free a few years ago) coast tire was doing renovations when i called ... wtf ... Right now the average price per tire is $225 ... I want 5 ... so with install and misc average at $1330 ... no rims ... (I am not spending more than $2000 for rims and tires) Do I have to get them professionally installed and balanced (about $100 more, and included in all the quotes ive gotten)? nope the xbox360 is doing fine without an upgrade ... maybe a newer tv but tires first

That price seems high and at that price they should include mounting and balancing plus free coffee & donuts. Maybe you can get a better price in Hfx. There's more competition for business there and both of us have family there.
I'll post the question on the NSJC for us Johnny.

yea the 1300 was with tires installation and balancing and tire enviro fee thingy...
I could probably get a deal in halifax then I have the problem of transporting my 5 tires I have on now (3 tires have about 30-40% tread, 1 has 70-80%)... (when I visit the back is loaded wiht my dogs kennel and misc stuff ... and delevery of 5 tires is atleast $100 ...
I could look for 245/75/R17 and keep my rims ... wonder how much that would be...
How long to rims normally last? I checked a place online and it is about $25 more a tire to go to 245/75/17 ... that would save me a lot of cash for buying rims ... (now my rims arnt the coolest but they are nicer than a lot on the road now)

Well let's see... - you could sell your old tires (will you ever put them back on?)
- you could leave your old tires with your Dad and bring home a tire everytime you visit (go ahead and tie it to the roof, or you could tie the dog to the roof ;D)
- you could have a buddy who visits Hfx frequently to bring the tires home for you ;D
I happen to have two sets of stock rims for my summer & winter tires but wouldn't mind a nice shiny set for my new tires. I messaged Rog & Ron's and they quoted me $225 for a set of Procomp 245/75R16 tires , too pricy for me. When I get home I'll make some phone calls to Hfx Johnny and see if I can get a better price.
