Meh ... I want a ARB bumper in 2 years or less ... I need OME springs to support it ... I can't imagine the bumper c/w a winch would weigh that much more than the stock one but then again the stock bumper is mostly plastic.

Ok so I got tired of waiting and I installed the front and rear tow hooks (plus gas tank skid plate) ... wow thats a lot of torque'in ... where I thought it would be a 15-30min job took nearly 2 hours ... Engine and transfer skids are lying on my floor Lift kit is somewhere in the mail ... Progress on it shortly ... waiting for Rogs to get back to me.

You've got the gas tank skidplate on already?! Great news! When I get mine I'll have to get you to help me put it on ;D Can I ask where did you get it from and for how much?
The front tow hooks were tricky to get on weren't they?
This week I hop that Paul & I will be able to install my Rusty's Offroad lift. I don't expect that the ride will be the same as your lift Johny. My lift is a spacer lift, your's will be a proper coil replacement. By the way, does your lift include new longer shocks?

Meh ... I want a ARB bumper in 2 years or less ... I need OME springs to support it ... So true Johnny. I guess the front stock coil springs sag under the weight of a solid bumper c/w winch. It might also be neccessary to add clevis spacers to fine tune the ride height too. Y'know its going to be sweet to see ,ore than one lifted Libby on a trail. They're rare. I've only seen one other lifted Libby on a run, a Skyjacker lifted Libby at the last Saint John Run.

well if you installed the front tow hooks on the libby ... the gas skid plate is easy!
I got all that installed at a friends place on my street ... hes got lots of tools ... we did it in the driveway (almost 2 hours to all).
The gas tank skid plate just fits right into the frame ... no lifting jeep up ... just need 2 people, one to to hold it up while the other get scews into it to hold it up... I got all screws in it except for one behind the frigging exhaust ... no way in hell is that going to be torqued properly ...
front tow hooks - only got 1 screw per hook torqued properly ... the other set of 2 - no frigging way to torque them without taking the whole bumper off... those were bastards to get in ...
The rear hook was easy - it just mounts over the gas skid pate (thats why I installed gas skid too -- less rework down the road)

I spotted a lifted Renegade today and had to take a pic. This is what our Libby's will look like once we put the lifts on them Johnny . Those tires are 245/75/16 (30" tires).

Are you planning new tires under your lift kit Johnny? The lift alone won't increase your clearance and the damn engine skidplate will actually reduce your clearance by as much as an inch & a half.
I'm putting Paul's 30" tires from his TJ under my lift. Depending how they fit maybe I'll go as high as 31".

not right away ... I want to go with 31" if they fit ... otherwise 30"s ... but I need more cash first ... Im borderline now ... so I need atleast 2-3 months to get me in a cushioned cash zone again
