On Friday night here in Dalhousie we got hit with a nasty winter storm plus a power outage. Early Friday night it began with a strong wind blowing snow, from the east. Here in Dalhousie and storm out of the east is bad news . Not much snow accumulated it just drifted across the driveway. Somewhere about eleven o'clock the power "browned out" then went out completely. The wind must have knocked a line down somewhere. I thought okay, they'll have it repaired in a hour or so. Two hours passed by and still no power. Hmmm, I decided not to wait and went off to bed. The power didn't come back until six the next morning, imagine! Luckily it didn't get too cold in the house. On Saturday morning I was planning to go on the Snow Run in Bathurst but I made the mistake of parking my stock Jeep in front of my YJ. I had to shovel out the driveway enough to move the Libby out of the way. Next time I'll park the YJ at the front of the driveway and simply drive out. Today I managed to get all the vehicles cleaned off and the rest of the driveway shoveled out. I wonder if we'll get any more storms like that this winter.
