For sometime now Chris Drysdale has been the voice for us New Brunswick Jeep Club members up here as our Area Rep. And Chris has been brave enough to voice his opinions. It now sounds like others are joining in voicing their displeasure for the club. www.nbjeepclub.ca/soopportal/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19847&PN=0&TPN=1Basically the problem is that the NBJC is that the majority of members and all of the executive are from the Moncton area and concern themselves with only the Moncton area. The seem to exclude, either intentionally or not, anybody outside of Moncton. There's even been a story of a fellow Jeep owner who was snubbed because she didn't want to pay a $20 fee to join a group of other Jeep owners on an "official NBJC Jeep run". Geesh, way to go guys Myself I don't mind paying the $35/year club fees because I have the money & time to trailer my Jeep to some "official NBJC Jeep runs" but many people don't. That's why I don't encourage anybody outside of Moncton to pay the fee and join the club. Heck we can have more fun just wheelin with each other.

ive personnaly use my chain saw to clear the rough water trail for one of their club run in bathurst, and when i went on the run some clown from thier club told me i had to pay to use the trail that day since i wasn't a member of their club , since i did not give them money i have been snubbed on their run , never bothered with them after , i also voiced my concern about the moncton jeep club they have going and they kick me out to shut me up.....
i am never going to bother with them or promote them ever again

I don't think the NBJC members explain the trail fee properly and they take the whole "official NBJC trail run" idea way too seriously. If you're not a paid up member of the club and you wish to join the group on the trail you're expected to pay a $20 fee. This is supposed to cover insurance costs for the club and maybe to put towards the trail lunch & post trail party. That should be explained instead of forbidding somebody from following the group. And lastly I've never actually witnessed anybody from the NBJC preventing somebody from following an "official NBJC trail run". Like you I've only heard stories about it. I'm avoiding the whole discussion on the NBJC forum because at times people are getting very nasty about it. Heck guys, it's just a club

Well said guys, I just want to ride..... I joined here cause first and formost its closer to me, We've got some awsome trails in northern NB. I wouldn't mind paying for a run either, but like you said, if its pointed out where the money goes, well in the end, it might change a few minds. But me I just go where ever ppl go, sometimes on my lonelyness but that sucks lol. In the Campbellton Area I only go out during the day (I work night shift at Chaleur Sawmills in Belldune), I go in the day during the week cause the kids are off to school, and good babysitters are hard to find. In Bathurst on the other hand, my mrs is from Nicholas Denys, so babysitter is always a phone call away....
Well that said, when we runnin ;D ;D

Well mine only has 3 inch body lift and 31" tires, wich makes the diff's stock height, ok well not stock height, 31" tires will raise it a tad, but my S10 is stock besides that. Looking to place SFA on it within next few weeks, so then will be able to lift it properly and shove a set of 35" for shoes. But I am sure we can find a nice trail somewhere...

I've been wheeling for over 10 years and I've had a few run ins with the group. I had a Cherokee but my rigs are zukes. I've had their "you can't follow the group" lecture and that is like telling me not to eat the cookie that you left on the counter.
I try to organicse runs in the Moncton area every few weeks and you guys are all welcome...the charge is only $25 and that money goes into the "Send me to Florida" fund or the you pay for my parts fund....kidding.
