I don't know why I do it but sometimes near the end of the day I get the urge to make a quick trail run in my local woods. I should know better than heading into the woods alone and at dusk but I still do. I need my head examined Tonight my son & I headed out to explore some ATV trails in Dalhousie. The trails were "stock" but were very narrow, a little challenging. Then we headed out to the Charlo Falls area. I spotted a road we hadn't been on before and even though it was about to get dark I thought it was worth investigating even though there was no sign of anything on the road. No ATV or snowmobile tracks. Needless to say we got stuck several times. The snow on this road was three feet deep in places. I had to winch us out repeatedly. Also the trees on this road weren't very big, I managed to pull two out of the ground. Sorry, we don't have pics. I didn't think we were going to need one. If it wasn't bad enough that we were in the woods after dark and were getting stuck every twenty feet my Jeep began to overheat. The damn clutch fan is "toast". When we were finally out of the deep snow and thought we were going to be coming out of the woods soon we realized the trail was closing in. The trail was getting tighter. It eventually ended at the #11 highway. Looking back at it you wouldn't recognize it as a trail at all. How do I get myself in such circumstances?

that's another side effect of the jeep sickness.. you always get drawn into places where you shouldn't be .. don't worry we all have it ..and at least you have a cure for it... a winch...lol
