Starting to miss the jeep now... I guess I should start shopping more seriously for an axle. Anybody wants to buy a 2006 Honda Rubicon 500 4 wheeler by any chance??? Automatic transmission (no belt), 10 300km, full equiped with front cargo box, rear heated seat, windshield, hand and thumb warmer, wired for a winch.... 5 000$

waths wrong with the axle ? the front bearing let go , i migth be able to fix it up with out changing the axle, post up more pic of the damage like the pinion head and bearing surface, if you where able to drive it in reverse i am pretty sure i can fix it , the mark on the carrier look like they are only esthetic

Depending of how it would cost... I can get a complete axle for around 200$... I don't know how the carrier bearings are, it ran out of oil a couple months ago (damn rubber plug) and filled with water and mud until it locked up... I knew it was going to die sooner or later... It was making all kind of funny noises! So if I need all the bearing and shim and labor... Probably less expensive just buying another one... What do you think?

you are rrigth , still check with jen sen motor sport in shediac bridge for a master install kit for your axle you could be surprised on how much they sell for , toby must have his phone number handy, for labor i usually charge 30$ an hour , it can take any where from 2 to 6 hour to install but for your it should be shorter as it is just replacing the bearing and they should set up the same way they where so most likely about 2 hour if you have the axle pulled out of under the truck , it make it a lot easyier for me to set them up on the bench
