Last week while in Hfx I managed to pickup a winchplate/stinger combo for my YJ. Today I manged to get it mounted but not without loosening the front fenders first. I guess I'll have to work on pipe fenders next.

I was planning to design & fabricate a stinger just like this one to protect my hood & winch. It was a blessing to find one already built for me.
Of course when I went to put it on the front of my YJ I discovered that it was built for a Jeep without stock fenders. Now I'm going to have to modify my fenders to allow the stinger to fit. Likely I'll have to fabricate pipe fenders. Geesh, does this ever stop?
I now have a spare YJ stock bumper to add to the pile of parts behind my garage. Dean has called dibs on my old winchplate.

my D44 swap is over and the pile is starting to increase next to the garage so I kind of know what you are talking about.
