So ... I just got my nice bonus from work and I have money to play with ... List me parts that I need and I will make my calls to see who can give me the best deal ... (its a stock libby) Paul and Charles - you still good to install most of it on my stock for some beers ... what I plan on buying: Front tow hooks Skid plates (including gas tank skid plate) Rock bars -do I need them?- Rear tow point (probably a hitch receiver) And yea ... that 2" lift kit you guys are bugging me about ... and if I have spare cash in my budget I get the nice 4 lights on top (or if something else needs priority) - I am planning on spending $1200 for my first of many upgrade sessions (that should get me the plates, hooks, and lift?) .. tires will come later (part of my tax return -- I have lots of student credits to cash in ;D PS - I plan on getting a handheld CB radio ... anyone have experience with these on the trails ... Johnny

LMAO ;D
Last night I asked Paul if he still thought the Libby was "gay".
He replied that he didn't think it was "gay" anymore simply because the Jeep Compass is more "gay".

Okay, now for my list of possible KJ lift kits; www.rustysoffroad.com/instructions/lbb-1.htmlwww.skyjacker.com/Here's a nice KJ Limited that I saw at the Saint John run. I think it has a 2 1/2" Skyjacker lift and it had no problem keeping up with the heavily modified Jeeps. Say, those look like all season tires on it

... Well the guys at the L.O.S.T. KJ forums dont like BDS ... they are all saying for my price range to go with OME HD springs with rancho struts/shocks ... (plus this would work since I want a nice big heavy front bumper in the future) ... they all say the OME will give the smoothest ride on and off road ... so I'm trying to find a place that supplies it (I calling Rogs on Friday or so...) in Canada, otherwise its the states I have to deal with

I've heard that the OME lift is actually Old Man Emu lift kit. Y'know you could always wait until spring to "spring" for a lift Johnny. You really won't be able to use your Libby in the woods until then. I don't think a lifted Liberty won't do well on a snow trail unless you could put 33's on it. I'd like to lift my Libby but I need to concentrate on finishing my YJ mods first. Here's a discussion I started on JeepKJ Country; www.jeepkj.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=203Click on the posting titled "Wanted moderate lift"

yep agree with Paul on this one Eric Landry bought some OME shocks and had to return them cause the valving wasn't properly set up for a jeep and gave him the death wobble more than once then he changed to BDS and never looked back I also tried some BDS shocks and found them to be the most comfortable and good resistance to bottoming the nicest ride I've tried.
I would give a try with BDS for sure I'm getting some new coils for the front of my Jeep and BDS are the one I'm ordering soon. BDS also applies for Better Design Suspension

FFS ... my post never saved ... ... Since I don't want to write it all out again: 1: Randy: I am in no rush I can wait (hence the shopping arround) ... my skids and hooks are mopar so I can get those at any time... 2: If I do choose BDS, Ken can get them for me for $690 total (decent enough). Haven't checked Rogs yet. 2a: I heard BDS kit just keeps factory struts... if true - should I get the rancho front strut replacments? (my carpool guy says I should have the struts replaced ...) 3: Charles: I thought it was Big Dicks suspension ... 4: BDS is the easiest for me to do right now ... due to shipping ... arg ... OME: just the shocks and springs are going to cost me $600 without shipping and customs!!!! ... 4: Paul what is a compagny? 5: I don't Like thursdays ... work is tooo busy ... so Back to work for me 6: Are we meeting on good Friday? (I am not going tomorrow, mom and bro coming to visit for the weekend tonight)
