Well first the bad news my muffler fell off... then the good news my muffler fell off... Confused? actually I've been waiting for my muffler to fall off so I could put my Cherry Bomb muffler on. But I'm puzzled, there isn't much to a Cherry Bomb muffler. It doesn't sound much different then no muffler at all. Is it really street legal? And to answer the question, Yes I did install it in the correct direction.

I suppose I could have been cheap and reused the old tailpipe but it was abused, bent & crushed. Here's what my old tailpipe looked like; And this is what it looked like after a visit to my local muffler shop; With a little imagination the muffler is hung on the stock muffler brackets. I went to a muffler shop because they had the tools to custom bend the pipe. A stock tailpipe wouldn't have worked. The tip of the muffler met the end of my vehicle so its legal and it was placed just in the right position so that it should get caught as I make those steep inclines. I'm not expecting any improvement in the performance of my Jeep with the Cherry Bomb but damn, it sure sounds nice
